Is a "College Sure CD"
a good investment?
The College Sure CD, offered by the College Savings
Bank of Princeton, is an FDIC-insured certificate of deposit designed
to protect parents from some inflation. The CD promises to pay
an interest rate equal to 1.5 percent below the inflation rate
of college costs as measured by an independent index. In general,
any investment strategy should include a well-diversified approach
using many asset classes as designed by a competent investment
advisor.
