Can I name a "community
foundation" as a charitable beneficiary?
Yes, a community foundation is a viable charitable
beneficiary. A community foundation can take the proceeds from
your Charitable Remainder Trust and distribute income or assets
to various beneficiaries, either as you decide through written
instructions in the Charitable Remainder Trust or under a separate
agreement with the foundation. You may also leave distributions
to the discretion of the community foundation as it deems best
within the community.
